2019 NEPALESE FESTIVAL CALENDAR INCLUDING TIJI FESTIVAL
HIGH HIMALAYAS IN 2019
NAMASTE AND WARM GREETINGS!
With the on set of 2019 we would like to welcome you once again in Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal , where Gods and mountains meet. Kailash Himalaya Trek has been 28 years in the field of Adventure Tourism and it is indeed a milestone that can help us reflect and see how far we have traveled. The issues that were raised then and now are very much the same, but tremendous progress has been made in terms of human development through sustainable tourism development programs.
2020 has been marked as Visit Nepal year and the Government has aimed to bring in 2 million tourist in Nepal. With the development of roads to the far-flung corners of Nepal has reduced trek days and enhanced overland tours to Mustang. Not only roads but two new international airports are being constructed , one in Pokhara and the other at Bhairawa. Since (TIA) the only international airport in Nepal (Kathmandu) which is overcrowded, often forcing the airlines to wait up to 45 minutes for landing particularly during the tourist season will ease out air traffic congestion and make traveling smooth.
Hotel industry is also seeing a surge in development of new properties and foreign investment. All total 1101 (star and tourist standard hotels) are operated in 2017. Travel agency, tour guide, tour operators, rafting agencies, trekking agencies and guides all are in increasing number of trend. In 2017 the number of registered Travel agencies reached up to 3824 and Trekking agencies are 2637 . Before you choose Nepal as your travel destination then it is very crucial to choose right and trustful travel partner. There was a news from Agence France press about trekkers being duped by some of the agencies, showing cheap price and duping the tourist by making unnecessary Heli-rescue. Now the government has started monitoring the Heli-rescue cases in Nepal.
