- Paragliding in Nepal Paragliding is an emerging adrenaline sport activity which has gained ecstatic amount of popularity among adventure seekers. People para-glide not only for the exhilaration and sense of adventure, but to enjoy beautiful scenery and nature in a bird’s eye view. Nepal enjoys its fair share of paragliding enthusiasts with clear blue skies, snow-white mountain peaks, forest, lakes and frothing and gurgling rivers. The best place to para-glide is the Annapurna region in Pokhara, where para-gliders already enjoys immense popularity and many agencies offer the best of the paragliding experience. Kathmandu valley Paragliding Kathmandu Paragliding had stated operating gliding experience to the tourists and locals as of 2019. The flying is situated at a lush green valley of Godavari, a popular destination for short day hikes for its rich wildlife and splendid environment. You will have to drive 20 km from Kathmandu (Thamel), to Godavari. After you reach to Godawari, it is about 45 minute’s off-road drive to the take-off-point, Chapakharkha at an altitude of 2100 meter . It is a scenic flight over the lush green forest, scenic views a flight just to remember once in your life time. You may reach up to an altidue of 2400 m swiftly hovering downwards to a landing spot at Rachantar near Botanical Garden of Godawari.
