    Pokhara is the second popular tourist destination in Nepal after Kathmandu. It is well known for its beautiful Phewa Lake and fantastic view of Machhapuchare peak (6977 m). The panoramic view of Annapurna (7000 to 8000 meter) Himalayan range, Machhapuchare and Lamjung Himal gives Pokhara added attraction. This city is the first choice for trekkers; they either begin or end their trek.  After Kathmandu Pokhara has the highest number of tourists’ standards hotels. It caters for 200k tourist annually. Most hotels are located around the Lake Side. In recent days luxury hotels have come up around the fringe of Pokhara. Restaurants, entertainment paces, shops and musical events meant for tourists make the Lake Side are a very lively place for all visitors to Pokhara. Besides the two beautiful lakes – Phewa and Begnas - there are many interesting sightseeing places to see and experience. Beyond the city, you can take a short hike around the valley, visit trout fish farming and enjoy trout fish picnic lunch and, for those who like to rush their adrenaline there are bungee jumping and paragliding. Its natural environment, scenic beauty and relaxed atmosphere make it enticing.

  • Day 01: Drive to Pokhara (200 km) - 5 hour drive

    Drive to Pokhara. Leave Kathmandu at 8 am. Stop for lunch en-route. Arrive Pokhara at 2 pm. Check into your hotel and get ready to explore. Walk to the lake front. There are boats available for rent.

    Afternoon: Visit the Barahi Temple. It is the most important temple in Pokhara. It is very close to the main centre of ‘Lake Side’ in Pokhara. The two-storied pagoda style temple is dedicated to Ajima. On Saturday the temple is thronged with devotees. Many carry with them animals (male) and fowl for sacrifice offering to the deity.

    After puja you can extend the boat ride in Phewa lake or return back to the shore. Take time to stroll the streets or simply hangout.

    Day 2. Full day sightseeing tour - In Pokhara

    Early morning excursion tour of Sarangkot for Sunrise View for sunrise view over the Western Himalayas.  Sarangkot is the highest point on the Pokhara valley rim. It is located at an altitude is 1592m above sea level. This place provides the best view of Pokhara Valley, Phewa Lake and beyond to the main spine of the Annapurna ranges (Annapurna South 7195, Annapurna I 7647, Machhapuchure 6997, Annapurna III 7555, Annapurna II 7937, Annapurna IV 7525, Lamjung Himal 6986.) Return to Hotel for Breakfast.

    Afternoon – a full-day tour of Pokhara: David’s Fall (also known as Devin’s and Devi’s is a lovely waterfall lying about two km south-west of the Pokhara airport on the Siddhartha Highway. Legend has it that a trekker called David as washed away by the Pardi Khola and mysteriously disappeared into an underground passage beneath the fall.

    Gupteshwor Cave is also known as the Gupteshwor Gupha. The Gupteshwor Cave holds special religious importance, especially to the local people. This cave is regarded holy by the Hindus. The main highlight of the site is the Shivalinga, the phallic symbol of Lord Shiva. The linga is preserved here in the condition it was discovered. It is just across Devi’s Fall. From the end of the cave, you can see the view of Davis Fall.

    Bindhyabasini Temple is the center of religious activity. It is dedicated to Goddess Bhagawati – the manifestation of Shakti (power). The open space is nice for a picnic. Saturdays and Tuesdays devotees come here to offer puja (prayer) and sacrifice their offering – usually animal and chicken. All these give a festive mood around the temple.

    Day 03: Drive back to Kathmandu (200 km) – 5 hours drive
    After breakfast  you have free time visit. Leave Pokhara at 10 am. Drive back to Kathmandu. Arrive Kathmandu at 3 pm.
