TRAVELLERS ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE MANAGEMENT REGULATION 2021

This new regulation is enacted by the Nepal government to manage post Covid-19 fully relaxed restrictions that was imposed after April 2020 to contain infections from Covid-19 pandemic
This Regulation is Applicable to all Visitors (Tourist)
All visitors entering Nepal must get antigen test at the point of entry. This rule is binding irrespective of nationalities and their status. If the antigen test is positive they will be transferred or taken to isolation place or hospital designated by the Health Ministry. This is mandatory and standing order to all concerned government officials. In case of failure to get antigen test at the entry point the visitors must remain in quarantine for 10 days in a hotel at their own expense.
Expenses: The travelers themselves must bear all cost of antigen test, PCR tests, hotel expenses, and any other expenses incurred during isolation
In the event of covid-19 infection or sign of covid-19: they must get Covid-19 test immediately. And remain in isolation if the report is positive
FULLY VACCINATED VISITORS
On Arrival Visa: Fully Vaccinated visitors from countries eligible to get on arrival visa can obtain tourist visa on arrival.
Additional Documents: Beside the regular documents required for visa following additional documents must be submitted at the immigration point of entry:
- Fully Vaccinated Certificate (#1) that certify14 days of completion of the vaccination shot.
- PCR Negative Test Report taken within 72 hour of check in time at the first port of departure. This is required at the airport
- Copy of hotel reservation / booking
- For trekkers and climbers or any subject that require permission a copy of trek, climbing permit or related permit
- A duly filled printed copy of the online form (International traveler online arrival form) that you must fill by logging in www.ccmc.gov.np must be submitted at the Immigration at the point of entry
- Travelers obtaining tourist visa from the Nepalese diplomatic mission, beside the regular documents, they must submit PCR Negative Report (#2), Hotel booking copy (#3) and for trekkers and climbers a copy of trek or climb permit (#4)
UNVACCINATED VISITORS
Unvaccinated visitors must obtain visa prior to arrival from assigned Nepalese diplomatic mission only. Their visa application is subject to travel arrangement made by bonafide agencies (Travel or Trekking companies)
Additional Documents: Beside the regular documents for visa application following additional documents must be submitted:
- Travelers obtaining tourist visa from the Nepalese diplomatic mission must submit Fully Vaccinated Certificate (#1) that certify 14 days of completion of the vaccination shot.
- Copy of hotel reservation / booking (#3)
- For trekkers and climbers or any subject that require permission a copy of trek, climbing permit or related permit (#4)

- A duly filled printed copy of the online form (International traveler online arrival form) that you must fill by logging in www.ccmc.gov.np. This copy must be submitted at the Immigration at the point of entry
DEPARTURE FROM NEPAL
Additional Documents: Beside the required regular documents following additional documents must be submitted at the point departure:
- PCR Report taken within 48 hour before of check in time at the airport or Covid-19 PCR Negative Report as required in the health protocol of the destination country.
- A duly filled printed copy of the online form (International traveler online arrival form) that you must fill by logging in www.ccmc.gov.np
ESSENTIAL TRAVEL INFORMATION
- Irrespective of nationalities all the travelers must fill in a form (International traveler online arrival form) available online. Log in to www.ccmc.com.np, fill the form online and print a copy. Submit the duly filled printed form with required documents at the immigration entry point or at the Nepalese diplomatic mission.
- PCR Negative Test Report taken within 72 hour of check in time at the airport
- Fully vaccinated Coid-19 Certificate that certify14 days of completion of the vaccination shot.
- Children below 5 bears of age are not required of any vaccination and test. Covid-19 vaccination is not mandatory for children between 5 to 18 years of age
- All visitors entering Nepal must get antigen test upon arrival at the first point of entry. Incase visitors are unable to get antigen test at the airport on arrival they must get antigen or PCR test at their hotel. They can travel outside the hotel only after the test result is negative
ENTRY BY SURFACE
Land entry points are also opened for visitors to enter Nepal. Visitors are required to obtain tourist visa from Nepalese diplomatic mission prior to travel
TRANSIT PASSENGER
Transit airline passengers travelling to third country without entering Nepal are allowed to proceed to their next destination.
Travelers entering Nepal and wish to travel to third country after fulfilling current immigration rules must submit:
- Fully Vaccinated Certificate (#1) that certify 14 days of completion of the vaccination shot
- All entry procedures to Nepal has to be completed
- Covid -19 PCR Negative test report done at government recognized medical laboratory taken within 48 hours of check in time at the airport has to be submitted
All rules and regulation issued earlier to manage Covid-19 infection are void. This regulation is effective immediately
