Why you should trek with guide in Nepal?

Why you should trek with guide in Nepal? – Part 1

Trekking up in the Himalaya should not be underestimated; it can be quite hard sometime. Before taking any trip specially the walking holiday – you need to determine the fact such as access route, the length of the trek, the place you are going, the weather and the weight you are going to carry with you. You physical fitness alone is also important factor but beside this you need to consider above factors as well.  Based on our past experiences I would like to share some tips mostly focused on longer trek that last more than a week but you can use as your desecration as a  reference for shorter version in the case of Nepal trek.

First, let us see what others are saying about guide with their experience: “A trekking guide also has the knowledge to make more drastic changes to the itinerary on the fly: I got heatstroke on my trek and wasn’t able to hike as far as we planned. Our guide knew of an out-of-the-way guesthouse along the way we could stop.  If we had been on our own we wouldn’t have known where to stop and would have walked into the night looking for a place to sleep”.

A recent review on our trip advisor  the clients from Holland points out the importance of taking the guide you may read like this that says “Out trip was very well organized, The guide and porter together took care of looking for places to sleep and eat. They know the road and all the possibilities for having a nice lunch or cup of tea. And the trekking itself was wonderful: walking along villages, through beautiful woods, bare mountains. The variety in landscape was great.

And a very strong point of as well Bekh as Kailash was the way they discussed with us our wishes- and the exact plan of our trekking was adapted when the weather forecast indicated that we better could skip one adaption day Because heavy rains and snow were expected. Thanks to this change we had the most beautiful weather on the pass. And Bekh was very well able to adapt the plans to our abilities and wishes. The word we learned after namaste was: bistari bistari, which means: slowly slowly- then you will arrive.”

Your guide knows the trail and guest houses located en route in the villages and knows that which guest house serves the best room with better food although food available on the trail are fairly common but additional information on western style toilet or hot showers availability wouldn’t be supplement to you?. Your guide make arrangement with the call or using local resources to next stop if that does not serve advance booking which is must specially in the peak time if you are traveling. Most of our guides have good working relationship with the staff at the guesthouses and can arrange for you to get a room with a view or even an en suite bathroom. At some places – if you want to go high with local raksi – the guide can serve you in a best way! Also in taking the porter with you, you never know the character of the porter thus you are always doubtful with walking the stranger. Porter arranged by company or guide is a guarantee we are held responsible so you will not have to worry about someone dodge you and run off down with your belongings so that you would have to have marathon in the Himalaya. We will be back with part 2 series next week.

If you want to have safe trek – trek with us, we will take care of you. Our contact
